The Cape Meares Lighthouse is located just south of Tillamook Bay, Oregon. The stubby, octagonal tower is only 38 feet tall, but sits on the edge of a towering 200 ft. cliff above the ocean. It was constructed in 1890 and decommissioned by the Coast Guard in 1963. Cape Meares Light is now part of the Oregon State Park system and is a popular stop for visitors.
