Joanne Kollman

joannekollman-09021128m.jpgJoanne Radmilovich Kollman's broad experiences range from commercial illustration to fine etchings and oil paintings. With over 20 years of experience producing illustrations for magazines, children’s books and commercial clients, along with original gallery art and graphics Joanne has established a lighthearted style and unique eye for design.

Her commercial clients have included Ghirardelli chocolates, Harcourt Brace Publishing, Macy’s, Hollywood Entertainment and the Oregon Zoo to name a few. Joanne received her education at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California and the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland Oregon. After art school Joanne went to work for Will Vinton Productions as a designer and animator working on the feature films “The Adventures of Mark Twain” and Disney’s “Return to Oz” as well as numerous television commercials.

Joanne’s whimsical animal etchings have been distributed to galleries nationally through Island International Artists since 2004. They have been an outlet for her creative sense of humor in the human portrayal of domestic house pets while coping with life challenging and changing events.

Most recently, Joanne received a professional development grant through the Regional Arts and Cultural Council to attend an advanced portrait workshop in Philadelphia with internationally acclaimed portrait artist Nelson Shanks. She works on portrait commissions out of a studio in the historic Troy Laundry building in southeast Portland.

Coming on-board with Northwest Art Mall is yet another venue for her artistic expression. This arena will offer the opportunity to utilize design and color in an interpretation of realistic subject matter.

A native Oregonian, Joanne resides in Portland Oregon with her two sons.
